Our commercial roof coatings are an excellent option for steel, single ply, or membrane roofs. This system is great in that it can be applied directly on top of the existing roof to create a seamless, waterproof barrier that reinvigorates your roof and makes it last for years. Many roof that are starting to show sign of wear and tear do not need to be fully replaced but rather simply need a little TLC. Often it is just the outside surface that is starting to age and leak, but the primary structure of the roof is still healthy and intact, so it makes little sense to strip off and replace this strong roof. Here is how we apply this system to restore your existing roof into a better than new condition.
Step 1. We start by thoroughly cleaning the entire surface of your roof. This is done with a pressure washer and our premium, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly detergent. Using these we are able to strip a majority of the dirt, rust, and crud off the roof that has built up over the years. This clean surface allows our coatings to properly adhere to and seal your roof.
Step 2. We reinforce all the weak spots. On steel roofs this means we caulk all of the fasteners and apply our fabric tape to reinforce the seams. With single ply and membrane roofs, we put the fabric tape on the seams and also use it to reinforce any areas where the existing roof has begun to crack or peel.
Step 3. We apply our base coat. This is the first step in making the roof seamless. The base coat binds everything together and creates a weatherproof sealant over all the weak spots to provide an added layer of protection. This coat is also designed to provide maximum adhesion to both the existing surface as well as the top coat. This holds the whole system together and makes it one of the toughest and most durable in the industry.
Step 4. We apply the top coat. The top coat is the final barrier to make your roof truly seamless, waterproof and strong. It is class IV hail resistant so it can stand up to any test that Mother Nature will throw at it. It is also features our reflective white roof technology, so while it is protecting your roof it is also reflecting the sun’s rays back into the sky which makes your building much more energy efficient and can save significantly on cooling costs.
Our roof coatings are some of the best in the business. With them, we can help save you time, money, and hassle. We also offer up to 20 year warranties on our products so you’ll have peace of mind that they will serve you for years to come. We look forward to being able to help you with all your commercial roofing needs so please get in touch with us and let us know how we can help.

At KIE Enterprises we offer one of the best Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) systems around. SPF is a phenomenal product that can be applied to virtually any existing roof. As it is applied it seals up everything so it water and weather proofs the entire roof. It also is somewhat rigid so it adds strength to the roof. And finally, with an R7/inch insulation value it helps moderate the temperature inside your building to make it more energy efficient. Here is how we go about applying our SPF systems.
Step 1: The first thing we do is clean the entire roof surface. We use pressure washers and our non-toxic, environmentally-friendly detergent to clean all of the dirt, rust, and grime off of the roof so that the SPF will properly adhere.
Step 2: We then spray on the foam to your desired thickness. Generally we apply 1-3 inches depending on what is needed. The foam rapidly expands after it contacts the roof so it fills in any cracks, seams, or voids to make a seamless and waterproof barrier over the entire roof. We let the foam cure for a short period of time before moving on to the next step.
Step 3: The foam cannot be left exposed to sunlight for an extended period of time so we must apply our acrylic coatings to protect it for the long term. The first layer is the base coat which seals up the foam and acts as a strong adhesion layer between the SPF and the top coat.
Step 4: We then apply the top coat. Our acrylic top coat is extremely durable; and with a class IV hail rating it will stand up to nearly anything. Paired with the SPF this roofing system is completely seamless and virtually impenetrable so it will last for many years. The top coat uses our reflective, white roof technology that reflects the sun’s rays and helps keep your building cooler. Combined with the insulation value of the SPF, your new roof will help reduce your energy bills all year long.
Our SPF roof system is extremely versatile and super tough which is why it’s one of our most popular roofing systems. It’s very easy to maintain, just an annual cleaning to help keep the roof surface white and reflective is all that is needed. And as the top coat starts to age, we can simply reapply to make it as good as new. We also offer extended warranties on all of our products so you can rest assured knowing that we’ve got your back. We’re looking forward to working with you, so please get in touch and let us know how we can help you.

We offer both PVC and TPO single ply system with 60 and 80 mil options. Our single plys have some of the highest impact ratings in the industry and also come with a Kevlar reinforced fastening edge and a tightly woven, non-moisture wicking scrim. When you combine all of these features you get one of the most durable single ply systems available. Both of our systems work great for both new construction as well as existing roofs. Often we can install the new roof directly over the existing roof. Here is how we go about installing some of the best single ply roofs in America.
Step 1: If we are working with an existing roof we will first assess the current roof so see if we can install on top of what is already there or if we need to tear it off and start over. The age and condition are the determining factors as well as the strength of the substructure. We also take into account our customers desire and budget. If we need to do a tear-off we will do that right away, if the existing roof can remain we will move on to Step 2.
Step 2: If we are working with an existing roof that can be recovered we thoroughly cleaning the entire roof using pressure washers and our non-toxic and environmentally friendly detergent. This clears the roof of all the built up dirt, grime, and crud to make sure the new roof is applied onto a clean surface so there is nothing underneath to damage it from the bottom-side.
Step 3: If we are working with and existing roof that can be recovered we will also repair and strengthen any cracks or weak areas. We may have to completely remove some portions if they are really bad and we may also replace any substructure that has been damaged or weakened by leaks and ponding water.
Step 4: This step is the same for all roofs – new, tear-off, and recovers. We install the new single ply roof. The roof comes in rolls that we lay out, fasten down, and then overlap and heat weld the seams in place. This makes for a very versatile roof that can be custom fitted to virtually any size or shape of flat or low-slope roof. It is also nearly seamless due to the heat welding process and is very durable and can stand up to anything that Mother Nature throws at it.
Our PVC and TPO single ply systems are some of the best in the business. They are manufactured right here in the Midwest using the best materials available. They are tough and will last for years. And when they start to show signs of wear and tear, we can apply our membrane restoration system to rejuvenate and give it new life. We offer 20 year warranties on our single ply roofs so you can have peace of mind knowing that we’ve got you covered. We’re excited to be able to help with your next project, so reach out and let us know what we can do for you.

Our fabric reinforced roof is a unique system that is like a single ply but made on site with our acrylic coatings. It is more cost-effective up front as opposed to traditional single plys because it can be applied over roofs that would otherwise need to be torn off and redone. However, the downside is that it needs more maintenance and generally needs to be recoated every 10-12 years. It is a tough and durable system if it is taken care of and has the added benefit of being more budget friendly. Here is how we go about applying this system.
Step 1: As with all of our roof systems, we must first clean the existing roof. We do this with pressure washers combined with our non-toxic, environmentally friendly detergents. We have to make sure that the roof is cleared of dirt and grime so that the new system will properly adhere.
Step 2: We then apply our base coat. This works to seal up the entire roof surface to make it seamless and waterproof. It also creates a proper adhesion layer to bind the existing roof, fabric, and top coat together.
Step 3: We install the fabric reinforcement right after the base coat so that the fabric becomes embedded in the base coat. The fabric adds strength and durability to the roof and results in a membrane that resists splitting and rupturing. This reinforces and strengthens not only the new roof but also helps protect the existing roof underneath.
Step 4: We apply the top coat. The top coat binds together with the fabric and base coat to create a uniform membrane that will provide maximum protection for your roof. The top coat has a class IV hail rating which, combined with the added strength from the fabric reinforcement, creates an incredibly strong barrier protecting your roof. The top coat also features our reflective, white roof technology that reflects the sun’s rays keeping your building cooler and saving energy costs.
Our fabric reinforced roofing system is a very versatile way to restore and strengthen your roof. This system can also be used as a standalone roof on new construction or roofs where a complete tear-off was necessary. We offer warranties on all of our products to make sure your investment is protected. We’d love to hear more about how we can help you so please get in touch with us to let us know more about your upcoming project.
